Finally I get the change to watch Gladiator. The only two things that bug me about the movie: Russel Crowe's deep voice and Joaquin Phoenix's mark on his upper lip.

Want to apply for the next Survivor?
"You must be willing to travel at your own expense to be interviewed in April or May 2001 (or as otherwise scheduled by Producers) at one of the following locations nearest you; New York City, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Boston, Massachusetts; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Baltimore, Maryland; Los Angeles, California; San Francisco, California; Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Green Bay, Wisconsin; Dallas, Texas; Austin, Texas or Miami, Florida."
So, if you live in the middle of nowhere you are screwed.

It looks like with each new version of Windows the amount of RAM required for installation doubles. According to some beta testers, the minimum requirement for the upcoming Windows XP is 128 MB of RAM and a Pentium 3 processor. Better get that memory now while is still cheap (128MB for ~ $60US)
I saw today Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. It was amazing! Those fighting scenes and the flying all over the place makes you go wow!
I guess I forgot to blog this before, but lisette put up the cutest blog layout. I think the best layouts out there are the anime related ones.

- Celery has negative calories — it takes more calories to eat a piece of celery than the celery has in it to begin with.

- The original name of Pepsi-Cola was Brad’s Drink.
- An article titled "The Game of Golf for Women," which ran in an 1894 issue of Ladies' Home Journal, contained this droll comment about the sexes playing the game: "A gallant gentleman will not cheat a woman, and a woman at all worthy of consideration will not cheat anyone at all."
- The names of the six Gummi bears are Gruffi, Cubbi, Tummi, Zummi, Sunni, and Grammi.

I don't know if this works, but if someone wants to try it:
Preventing People from Linking to Your Images
Add the following to the .htaccess file:
# Rewrite Rule for images
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER}
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://
You would replace the above with the domain name and path of the page that is referring to your domain. For example: www.their-isp.net/users/mypage/
The RewriteCond directive states that if the {HTTP_REFERER} matches the URL that follows, then use the RewriteRule directive. The RewriteRule directive will redirect any reference back to the referring web page.

Wow, no posts in two days! I've been sleeping pretty much all the time, but the flu is still here. Right now I'm craving some ice cream (even though it's twenty some degrees outside) so we are going to Baskin Robbins hoping that it's still open

I wonder why the 90210 page is still up at the Fox website. Last I've heard, the show (finally) ended.
Dammit, I caught that flu/cold bug that's going around. I've been sleeping pretty much since I've got back from work. And to top it all, we ran out of medicine and I don't feel like going out to get more. Oh, and I missed Voyager and Temptation Island (I like to watch those ppl bitch and complain about their SO doing something they shouldn't do even do they are doing it also heheh).

Look, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman decided to separate after 11 years. I just laugh at the reason: "Citing the difficulties inherent in divergent careers which constantly keep them apart, they concluded that an amicable separation seem best." Okay, and they really didn't know that before they got married? OTOH, now he is single! woohoo ;-)
For $65US plus car registration fees, you can register a college license plate with the logo of differents universities of Michigan. Someone says that they saw this one in NYC: (M)orons. If it's real, all I have to say is that it was very clever! Lets see, one from Wayne State would say (W)uss? lol

On the Internet Addiction Test, I scored a 36:
You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage.
Two years ago (while I was still in school), I might've scored a 75!

For some reason, this layout makes me want to start doing origami again. I used to be good at it when I was little. I even took some classes with a bunch of "old" people.
You would think that after watching The Princess Bride two times today I would be sick of it, but HBO is showing it again right now (I have seven HBO channels thanks to digital cable) and I'm watching it!

I was looking at the page from my Unix station at work, and it looks like crap on Netscape 4.73 for Solaris. I really hope not that many people visit this page on Unix, because they will think that I suck in HTML. It looks fine in Windows 98, 2000 and in the MAC but not in Unix. I tried to fix it but couldn't get it to work. Unless there is a trick out there that I haven't heard off, no more messing around with the code for me.
Tracy from playfortoday.com has the cutest drawing of a cat on her blog. Makes me want to start drawing with my tablet (even though I suck at it).

I can't believe I had to tweak the layout around so it can look decent in Netscape 4.7 and Netscape 6. For some reason NS4.7 won't pick up the css on the right table over there so... This layout looks best in Netscape 6, IE 5.5 and with resolutions of 800x600 and above.
Candi, can you see the page in Netscape now? If not I will kill that counter! LOL

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the gift baskets (worth over $3,500) given to the participants of the American Music Awards included a digital camera/camcorder/PC camera, two-way Skytel pagers, a Casio wristwatch camera, Reebok sneakers, electronic stuffed animals, sunglasses, gourmet chocolates, hand-held video games, Polaroid cameras, clothing, accessories, aromatherapy products, backpacks, Fossil watches and a voice-activated TV remote. And if you thing that's not enough, for the Oscars, people got over $16,000 worth of goodies.
Did they really needed all that cool stuff? That's why I'm poor and they are rich. bleh

Becky, I also have both astigmatism and myopia and I just love the contact lenses the doc recommended. They are the Acuvue 2 from Johnson and Johnson. I wear them every day for two weeks then I toss them out and open a new, fresh pair to wear (and if you buy them online they are cheaper, at least for me).
Repost: In case someone is still interested in the comments script.
I put together some instructions on how you can use the comments script I use here on your site with Blogger. You can see it right over here. You need PHP in order to get it to work. Any questions just let me know.
Tara also put up some instructions over here. She changed a couple of things so it can work also in the archives. (mine don't have them because I use includes for the archives therefore I don't need the changes).

According to this article, I'm an ambitious driver who wants to project an image of success, all because my favorite car color is black. I dunno about that, since my car is a Ford Escort, all I feel is that I didn't had enough money to buy the VW Jetta I always wanted.
Talking labels on the Heinz ketchup bottles are back by demand. I don't even remember seeing them the first time they came out.

In the "you probably don't care" update on Survivor: first show and they already booted Debb off the tribe. I think she is the one that's engaged to her stepson.
Here comes SuperBowl XXXV, and what's this, MTV meets football? Who are they trying to reach out? Don't think all those beer guzzling-chip eating macho men want to see N'Sync and Britney Spears sing (well, maybe they won't mind Britney doing a strip show like she did on the MTV awards).
Hum... I'm #12 on this search: drink piss eat shit. All I want to know is.. why, why me? And what kind of person searches for that phrase.
I wonder how many extra hits is Snatch.com getting now that the movie Snatch is out. At least I gave them one, I just had to look at the splash page *giggles*

It looks like BlogVoices might go away due to problems with their hosting company. If you can run PHP, I can send you the copy of the commenting script I use (I got it from the Discuss section of Blogger, someone posted the script over there).
After sitting through a four hours of presentation this morning, I didn't feel like eating my poor little tv dinner for lunch. So I go to McDonald's and order the Big Mac combo to go. I get to the office and realize that one of the beef patties is missing! I have three buns and one beef pattie. Can I sue them for misleading advertisement? ;-)

First we have public pay toilets, next it will be pay water fountains! And it looks like they run on Windows 98, because they keep encountering "bugs" on them ever since they opened last week. I must remember to never move to Manhattan.

According to the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, I'm ISFJ (introversion-sensation-feeling-judgement), in other words a Protector. And my temperament is of a Guardian. So that makes me a Protector Guardian. I think most of it is accurate, specially the Guardian portrait.

My result on the Pyromania Purity Test:
- You answered "yes" to 1 of 100 questions, making you 99.0% pyro pure (1.0% pyro corrupt); that is, you are 99.0% pure in the pyro domain (you have 1.0% pyromaniac in you).
- Your Weirdness Factor (AKA Uniqueness Factor) is 33%, based on a comparison of your test results with 24313 other submissions for this test.

I need some motivation to workout. I want to do it but then I just don't feel like it. So yeah, I've gained some weight in two years and yada yada yada, but I don't want to keep buying work clothes. I want to be able to do some before going to work but I'm just too lazy to get up at 5:45am. I'm a sleepyhead, k? Maybe I should do a calendar/log of all the days I work out so I can motivate myself. I dunno, maybe do it with someone else (anyone?).

I took Eitel to Benihana. We don't go there that often, since usually we spend about $60 on both of us whenever we go. But you get sooo full and satisfied, you won't eat later on the day (night). I had Hibachi steak and Eitel had Rocky's Choice (steak and chicken). All I want to know is what's the name of the vegetable on the Hibachi vegetables. I know it has onion and mushrooms, but I can't identify the green vegetable.
"Today, Zucker met with the cast of Friends last week and suggested expanding future episodes. The six stars reportedly will be paid extra for the additional scenes. (As if $750,000 an episode wasn't enough compensation.)"
Oh yeah, they work soooooooooo hard that they need extra compensation. I can use some of that money!

I can just picture Bush Jr. trying to say my name.. hahah if Antonin was difficult, then mine would be impossible.
Let the mania begin! My page under the Drug Slang Translator looks like this. What's even funnier, how it changed some of the links to other blogs: dan.el.opium, /usr/bin/cocaine, 2-(4-bromo-2,5 diethoxy-phenyl)-ethylamine diablo (see that Shannon? LOL).
Here I am at work, all alone. I don't get MLK off, so I'm one of the few people on this building. I have to prepare this visual presentation for a cataloging pilot we are developing. Cutting photos from catalogues and putting all the data on an Excel sheet is not that hard. Done deal. But I'm supposed to plot it on the HP Laser Jet 1055CM, one of those big ass (color) plotters with the huge and heavy roll of paper. As I start plotting the first sheet, I run out of paper. Go figure!! Can't find any paper around here, and even if I did, those rolls are heavy! I can carry that around here by myself. So there goes my plan for the day.

I got this on an email.. and damn it's all true!
Drawbacks To Working In A Cubicle
1) Being told to "Think Outside the Box" when I'm in the @#$%? box all day!
2) Not being able to check E-mail attachments without first seeing who is behind me.
3) Fabric cubicle walls do not offer much protection from any kind of gun fire.
4) That nagging feeling that if I just press the right button, I will get a piece of cheese.
5) Lack of roof rafters for the noose.
6) My walls are too close together for my hammock to work right.
7) Women: Damned near impossible to adjust your bra or slip without comment. Men: Co-workers tend to stare when you take your pants off.
8) 23 power cords, 1 outlet.
9) Prison cells are not only bigger, they have beds.
10) Can't slam the door when you quit and walk out

Ever wonder what other urinals look like? Not me, but someone did. I find the picture on the main page kinda disturbing. Once you browse through the pictures, I realized that the urinals in Asia look very high tech compared to ours.

So out of curiosity I clicked on the link and one of the results was his page. What's on it? Pretty much advertisement for his book: "101 SURVIVAL SECRETS:How to Make $1,000,000, Lose 100 Pounds, and Just Plain Live Happily." I don't know what bothers me the most, the title of the book or the cover!

If you have registered on lately, I suggest that you go to their page and change your options to NOT receive any spam/calls from telemarketers. According to this thread in Metafilter, E-bay changed the preferences on about 6 million users because of a "software bug". Suuuuuure blame it on the poor bug. I checked mine and (luckily) they were still set to no.

I got a score of 612 on Word Power. It reminded me of the verbal part of the SAT's. I like how it gives you the definition of the word and it's origin.
