I just noticed that Netscape 6 uses about 25 megs of memory while running. Holy cow! They should include free memory with every download of NS6 ;-)

Blogger it's acting too slow today.

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too cold out there, I will stay sick if it keeps up.

Well, I gave up and downloaded Netscape 6. After many download attempts (and I have cable modem), I finally found their full download on their ftp site. My impressions so far:

- A little slow when switching windows and selecting items. No crashes so far though
- It now recognizes the title tag on the links.. yay!
- My page looks good on NS6. The only thing I didn't like was that the checkbox doesn't show up if your background is white. No border around it whatsoever (maybe because I have it set to border-style=none?)
- Can't post from Blogger since the posting area is completely taken over by one of the frames, and I couldn't download the bookmarklet thing from the settings. I copied it from IE.
- Renders pretty much the CSS correctly.

But kids, remember that you may need to update your dhtml and cgi scripts. More information can be found here

I'm feeling weird today. I have something in between a cold and the flu and I don't like it a bit. I've been laying on the couch watching Mission to Mars on dvd. As always I didn't want to watch the movie but ended up liking it. I've come to the conclusion that no matter if the movie is good or if it sucks, I will always like it as long as it has to do something with space exploration, medieval times or dark religious stuff.

Did anyone get the PS2? Here in the news, they were at Meijer and they only had 20 of them, all taken since people were in line since 10am!! They don't expect another shipment until mid-December. For most of my searches, I would just type go 'keyword' on the IE address bar and a search window would open on the left side of my browser with all the results. That way I could keep looking at the results and see some of them to the right. But somehow now it just opens all on one window. wtf?? I liked it better the other way. When did they changed this?

Speaking of the plane tickets, we bought them tonight. In two months I will be escaping from the freezing cold Michigan weather to the warm (hot, comparing to how cold is going to get up here) Puerto Rican weather. Plus no work for two weeks (can't beat that!).

I might be going home for Christmas after all! *does happy dance* If we can get the price for the tickets this afternoon.. we are set. $500 plus taxes, from Lansing, MI (75 miles from here) to Cleveland then to San Juan, almost 2 weeks. Not bad, I wish it was cheaper though.

After six seasons, Xena: Warrior Princess has been cancelled, due to low ratings.. Even though I haven't watched the show in a while, it's too bad Xena is getting cancelled. It was one of the few good shows that I could watch over the weekend (you can only watch so many sports each week you know?).

I'm so proud of myself. I've been sitting at the puter for 2 hours tonight. That's a record for me! I watched some tv for a change (Dark Angel and Son of the Beach were on).

I tried to watch the presidential debate but I just can't get into it. I only caught one part of it, when they were talking about affirmative action, and noticed how Gore just kept asking Bush all these questions and then the moderator caught him off in the middle of a sentence and said "Lets move on". That was great!

I don't understand Netscape. The newer the version the worse it gets? At work I have Netscape 4.7 (Win) and the page looks fine (2 lines instead of three but I can deal with that)... but at home, with version 4.75, the lines don't repeat (I have them as cell backgound with limited width on the cell, they should repeat). ?!?!?!?!?!? If I can figure this out then I will call myself the "Netscape master".. heh

All these new chips are making my AMD K6-2 500Mhz look like a turtle.

I started on a new project at work today. I will get to work with suppliers that make all those nifty car/truck accessories.

Where did my weekend go?  I went out on Friday night with Eitel and some of his friends from work. First we went to this place in Ann Arbor that they brew their own beer (can't remember the name, it's by Mongolian BBQ).  Then we drove to Ypsilanti and stopped at Sticks (I think that's the name) and played some pool (not me, I suck at it so bad) and had some drinks.  I had too many Long Islands and I was very buzzed by the time we got home (around 2am).  Then on Saturday we watch some football with some friends and played some Monster Madness.)

For the first time in a loooooooooooong time I barely sat on the puter, only to check email.

The people at AT&T@Home are idiots. It seems that they are having lots of problems at State College and their answer? "We didn't expected that many people to sign up". HELLO?!? You bring cable modem service to a college town and don't expect people to sign up? You morons. They also blame the heavy usage of Napster for the downtime. Yeah right Sherlock.

And what they recommend the students to do while this gets fixed? "AT&T @Home is urging their customers to be patient and advising them to refrain from using the Internet in peak hours until the dilemma is cleared up." Hey, I pay for the darn service I should be able to use it whenever the hell I want.

Sorry for the rant, but things like this piss the hell out of me.
